Structural Welder Fabricator
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fit, tack, and weld structural steel components to blueprint and shop drawing specifications.
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Perform MIG welding and plasma cutting as required by the job.
- Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for welding and assembly.
- Complete layout and fit-up work from shop drawings with precision and attention to detail.
- Inspect completed welds and fit-ups for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
- Operate fabrication equipment — including grinders, plasma cutters, saws, and press brakes — hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Rig material and operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures per the employee handbook and safety manual.
- Communicate and coordinate closely with your team to hit production and delivery goals.
- Keep your work area and shared spaces clean and organized — everyone sweeps the floor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- No experience required, although it's extremely helpful. We are willing to train from the ground up.
- Familiarity with common shop tools and fabrication equipment is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills for measurement and layout.
- Ability to accurately read a standard tape measure and work to close tolerances.
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. safely and repeatedly, climb ladders, and stand for a full shift.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and/ or as part of a team.
