Trend Hunter (Social Media Strategist Intern- Remote)
The Short Version
If you can explain why one reel got 40,000 views and the identical one got 400, we want to talk to you. Bonus if you're chronically online.
About Your Home Page
Working here means life inside an early-stage startup: a small team, fast decisions, and real ownership from day one. There's no ladder of approvals to climb — if you have an idea worth testing, you're pitching it to the team and trying it out that same week. You'll wear more than one hat, priorities can shift day to day, and progress is measured by what actually ships, not hours logged. Interns get real projects instead of busywork, and it's common to see something you built go live to real customers within days. We love using AI and are not afraid to use it to 10x our work.
Your Home Page is a platform that turns social media into a place people can actually shop for homes. Someone sees a post, taps in, and can view the listing or message the agent directly.
The Role
Our Instagram account is our number one growth engine. It's how we find real estate agents, earn their trust, and turn them into customers. As our Scroll Stopper, you'll help decide what we post, when we post it, and why it works.
This isn't a "schedule the posts" internship. You'll be in the strategy seat: studying what's performing, digging into what competitors are doing, spotting the content gaps nobody's filling, and building the content calendar with scroll stopping content.
What You'll Do
- Track performance across our Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok content and report on what's actually working (not just what feels good)
- Research competitor, adjacent-industry accounts and trending content and bring back five ideas a week we should use
- Write content briefs that can easily be reviewed for approval or revisions
- Sit in on content planning sessions and pitch your own concepts
- Test hooks, formats, and posting times, then tell us what you learned
What You'll Walk Away With
- A real content strategy portfolio with before/after performance numbers attached
- Fluency in social analytics: reach, saves, shares, watch time, and what each one actually predicts
- Experience building content for a specific buyer, not just for vibes
- A working knowledge of how organic social feeds a real sales pipeline
Who We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student
- Terminally online in the best way. You know what's trending before your friends do
- Comfortable in a spreadsheet and not scared of numbers
- Strong written communication; you can explain an idea in three sentences
- Bonus points: you run or have grown a social account of your own (any size, any niche) and you speak gen z
Preferred Majors
Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Media Studies, Business, Journalism, Digital Media
How to Apply
Apply through Handshake with:
- Your resume
- A short note (150 words max) telling us about your career goals. Skip the formal cover letter or AI slop. We'd rather hear how you actually talk and how we can help you achieve your career goals.
- A link to something you've made. A portfolio, a social account you run, a class project, a spreadsheet you're weirdly proud of, a TikTok that did numbers, a school project. Anything. If you don't have one, share a company that inspires you and why.
We review applications on a rolling basis and reply to every applicant. Questions? Email hello@yourhomepage.ai.

Your Home Page is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of every background, and we especially encourage students who don't see themselves in traditional tech job postings to apply anyway.
