Block Party Host (Community Engagement Intern- Remote)

The Short Version

Some of our best customers found us because someone was helpful in a Facebook group. Come be that someone.

About Your Home Page

Working here means life inside an early-stage startup: a small team, fast decisions, and real ownership from day one. There's no ladder of approvals to climb — if you have an idea worth testing, you're pitching it to the team and trying it out that same week. You'll wear more than one hat, priorities can shift day to day, and progress is measured by what actually ships, not hours logged. Interns get real projects instead of busywork, and it's common to see something you built go live to real customers within days. We love using AI and are not afraid to use it to 10x our work.

Your Home Page is a platform that turns social media into a place people can actually shop for homes.

The Role

Real estate agents live in Facebook groups, subreddits, LinkedIn, and Slack communities — talking shop, asking questions, and helping each other out. As Community Engagement Intern, you'll show up in those spaces as a genuinely helpful presence, building relationships and awareness for Your Home Page without ever coming across as a pitch.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and monitor online communities where our target customers spend time
  • Draft helpful, non-salesy replies to relevant conversations
  • Track which communities generate the most interest
  • Manage comment and DM engagement across platforms
  • Build relationships with community power users, coaches, and creators
  • Keep a running log of frequently asked questions

What You'll Walk Away With

  • Real community-building experience
  • A sharp instinct for the line between helpful and promotional
  • Direct exposure to how customers actually talk about their problems
  • Relationship-building skills that transfer directly to sales, partnerships, and marketing

Who We're Looking For

  • Currently enrolled student
  • A naturally warm writer
  • Good judgment about tone and context
  • Consistent and self-directed — this role thrives on showing up regularly, not in bursts
  • Bonus: you already moderate or actively participate in an online community

Preferred Majors

Communications, Marketing, Sociology, Psychology, Public Relations, Business, Hospitality

The Details

  • Fall 2026 (September - December)
  • 100% remote, U.S.-based
  • Part-time, 5-20 hours per week
  • Unpaid, eligible for academic credit
  • Weekly team check-in plus a monthly 1:1 with Carter

How to Apply

Apply through Handshake with:

  1. Your resume
  2. A short note (150 words max) telling us about your career goals. Skip the formal cover letter or AI slop. We'd rather hear how you actually talk and how we can help you achieve your career goals.
  3. A link to something you've made. A portfolio, a social account you run, a class project, a spreadsheet you're weirdly proud of, a TikTok that did numbers, a school project. Anything. If you don't have one, share a company that inspires you and why.

We review applications on a rolling basis and reply to every applicant. Questions? Email hello@yourhomepage.ai.

Want to show us you read the entire job description? Email us & introduce yourself.

Your Home Page is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of every background, and we especially encourage students who don't see themselves in traditional tech job postings to apply anyway.

More details:

  • Term: Fall 2026 (September – December)
  • Location: 100% remote. Work from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Schedule: Part-time, approximately 5–20 hours per week, flexible around your class schedule
  • Compensation: This is an unpaid internship designed as an educational experience. It is eligible for academic credit where your school allows it, and we'll gladly complete any paperwork your program requires.
  • What you get instead of a paycheck: Portfolio-ready work you can actually show, direct mentorship from our founder and operations lead, and a real seat in the room where decisions get made. For interns who finish strong, that also means a written letter of recommendation, a LinkedIn recommendation, and/or a reference for life. We're generous with those, and we're honest in them.
  • Weekly rhythm: Weekly team check-in and one monthly 1:1 with your mentor, and async work on your own schedule.
