The Office of Information Technology’s Student Workforce Development initiative supports students and the university community in developing practical technology skills. This position focuses on creating educational resources that help students better understand and effectively use artificial intelligence tools.

We are looking for a creative and curious student who is interested in artificial intelligence, technology, and education. Ideal candidates enjoy learning new tools, explaining technology in approachable ways, and creating resources that help others build their skills.

Potential duties may include:

  • Researching AI tools, trends, use cases, and emerging technologies
  • Creating guides, tutorials, presentations, and other educational resources about artificial intelligence
  • Developing and editing short training videos and demonstrations
  • Helping design and facilitate workshops that teach students practical ways to use AI tools
  • Testing AI tools and identifying useful applications for students, student employees, and the university community
  • Developing examples, activities, and exercises that help students practice using AI effectively
  • Supporting outreach and educational campaigns related to AI literacy and technology skills
  • Keeping existing AI training materials updated as tools and capabilities change

Work schedules are flexible, and there are opportunities to tailor projects to the student’s interests and skills in areas such as artificial intelligence, instructional design, video production, communication, or technology education. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units.

We are currently accepting applications from individuals available to work up to 15 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
