The Office of Information Technology’s Student Workforce Development initiative manages a variety of projects designed to improve the student employee experience, support professional development, and strengthen student-focused programs within IT.

The Student Workforce Project Coordinator helps keep these projects organized and moving forward. This position provides hands-on experience in project coordination, communication, documentation, and working with multiple people and projects at different stages of development.

We are looking for a highly organized and dependable student who enjoys keeping track of details and helping turn plans into completed projects. Ideal candidates are proactive, comfortable following up with others, and able to keep track of multiple priorities at once.

Potential duties may include:

  • Maintaining project trackers, timelines, task lists, and other project documentation
  • Monitoring the progress of Student Workforce Development projects and identifying upcoming deadlines or incomplete tasks
  • Following up with student team members regarding project updates, deliverables, and next steps
  • Helping break larger projects into clear tasks, milestones, and timelines
  • Coordinating project information across student workers and Student Workforce Development initiatives
  • Organizing shared files, resources, notes, and project documentation
  • Preparing brief project status updates and identifying projects that may need additional attention
  • Helping improve systems and processes used to manage ongoing and future projects

Work schedules are flexible, and there are opportunities to develop skills in project management, operations, communication, and leadership. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units.

We are currently accepting applications from individuals available to work up to 20 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
