Caregiver (OPT Eligible)

BrightStar Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Caregivers to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates on F-1 OPT who are looking to gain valuable healthcare experience while making a meaningful impact in the community.

As a Caregiver, you will provide one-on-one support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence, safety, and quality of life. We offer a supportive work environment, ongoing training, flexible schedules, and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality care to clients in their homes.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Assist with medication reminders.
  • Follow each client's individualized care plan.
  • Document services provided after each visit.
  • Observe and report changes in clients' condition.
  • Maintain professionalism and comply with BrightStar Care policies and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Compassionate, reliable, and committed to helping others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • CPR certification and TB test may be required before or shortly after employment, depending on state regulations.
