Retention Marketing Intern

Young Days is a growing kids' fashion brand creating playful, everyday clothes for babies, toddlers, and kids. We're looking for a curious, creative, and highly organized Retention Marketing Intern to join our team from October 2026 through March 2027.

This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how a growing kids' fashion brand builds relationships with customers and drives repeat business through email, CRM, loyalty, and e-commerce. You’ll work closely with our marketing team and have the opportunity to contribute to real campaigns and projects that reach our customers and drive the business forward.

No prior professional experience is required. We’re much more interested in someone who is curious, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and genuinely interested in email/CRM, digital marketing, and e-commerce.

What You’ll Do

You’ll support the day-to-day work of our retention marketing program, including:

  • Assist with email campaigns and content in Klaviyo, from concept through launch
  • Help build, schedule, QA, and report on email campaigns and automated flows
  • Support customer segmentation and targeting based on customer behavior and engagement
  • Help monitor campaign performance, including opens, clicks, revenue, conversion, and repeat purchase behavior
  • Assist with Shopify updates, product merchandising, and other e-commerce tasks that support retention campaigns
  • Help create and update email and marketing assets in Figma
  • Support product launches, promotions, new arrivals, and other marketing initiatives
  • Help maintain marketing calendars and keep campaigns and projects organized
  • Assist with creative projects, including email, website, and other digital marketing assets
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and collaborate with other members of the Young Days team
  • Jump into new projects and learn whatever tools or skills are needed along the way

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Interested in retention marketing, email/CRM, digital marketing, and e-commerce and excited to learn how a DTC brand builds a loyal customer base
  • Curious, proactive, and willing to ask questions
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable learning new software and tools
  • A strong communicator who is comfortable participating in team meetings and sharing ideas
  • Creative and interested in the intersection of marketing, customer behavior, design, and commerce
  • Comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask for help
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excited to learn Klaviyo, Shopify, and Figma — prior experience with these tools is a plus, but absolutely not required

You do not need to have previous internship or professional marketing experience. Coursework, personal projects, student organizations, or simply a demonstrated interest in digital marketing/e-commerce are all great starting points.

What You’ll Learn

This role is designed to give you real-world exposure to how a growing e-commerce brand operates. You’ll gain hands-on experience with:

  • Retention marketing & CRM
  • Email campaign strategy and execution
  • Customer segmentation and lifecycle marketing
  • Loyalty and repeat purchase strategy
  • E-commerce and Shopify
  • Campaign planning, testing, and execution
  • High-level marketing analytics and reporting
  • Creative development and Figma
  • Product launches and merchandising
  • Working cross-functionally on a small, fast-moving team
