Job Title: Greenhouse Technician
Location: 7622 Smythe Farm Rd, Memphis, TN 38120
Shift timing: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Contract Duration: 12 months
Pay: $18.00/hr on W2
Role Overview
This is a hands-on role involving greenhouse work in a challenging environment. Tasks include:
- Sampling plants.
- Plant care: water monitoring, checking for insects, and reporting plant health.
- Organizing plants into zones, scanning plants, mapping greenhouse layouts.
- Harvesting.
The work environment is hot and humid, especially in summer, reaching up to 90°F. Fans, water breaks, and cooling items (e.g., neck cooling wraps) are provided. However, candidates must be comfortable with dirty, physical labor in this environment.
Candidate Requirements

Experience & Background:
- Background working with plants, in landscaping, or in a greenhouse environment.
- Individuals must be detail-oriented and okay with dirty work like cleaning and sweating.

- Candidates must be okay with the hot and physical nature of the role and the greenhouse environment.
- Interviews should convey professionalism. Previously interviewed candidates who were overly expressive or unprofessional were not a fit.
