Long Grove Country School is growing, and we are excited to add another amazing Preschool Teacher to our team!
We are seeking a warm, creative, and energetic teacher with experience working with 4-year-olds who truly enjoys helping young children learn through play, exploration, movement, and hands-on experiences. Must be comfortable working in an indoor and outdoor classroom.
Qualifications
- Experience preschool-aged children
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and activities
- Ability to create a nurturing, engaging, and organized classroom environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable spending time outdoors in all seasons
- Passion for early childhood education and nature-based learning
- Comfortable being outside as much as possible
Responsibilities
- Aide in supervising activities and lessons
- Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
- Foster creativity, curiosity, independence, and confidence
- Maintain positive relationships with families and staff
- Collaborate as part of a supportive teaching team
