Sales Engineer Development Program
Scope of Work: In the Sales Engineer Development Program at Thermosystems, your primary responsibility will to with engineers, contractors, and owners/developers in the design, application, and sale of equipment, controls, parts, and services for our customer’s buildings. You’ll work on a fast-paced applied sales team assisting engineers and contractors in the design and execution of HVAC projects for new facilities, additions, and renovation projects. Daikin is one of our closest manufacturing partners and is the #1 HVAC manufacturer in the world. In this position, you will be enrolled in the Daikin Graduate Engineer Training (GET) program, a 5-month immersive learning program designed for new graduate sales engineers to provide foundational HVAC knowledge and experience, build their professional network, and enhance their industry credibility. Thermosystems utilizes this program to educate the new generation of HVAC sales engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Work with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers in the design, application, and sale of equipment, controls, parts, and services for our customer’s buildings
- Sell equipment from a complete line of efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and building management controls to our commercial, industrial, and institutional customers
- Build and strengthen customer relationships by identifying and understanding customer needs and project requirements throughout a full sales cycle
- Achieve strategic objectives and established sales quotas through securing new design wins and effectively managing the sales channel
- Develop relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and customers
- Ability to collaborate in team-driven environment
- All other duties assigned
Qualifications + Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- B.S. Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on practical solutions that exceed client expectations
- Shows a passion for continuous learning in technical fields, ensuring a solid foundation for understanding and communicating engineering solutions
- Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills

Work Environment: Thermosystems LLC main office is in Elmhurst, IL. Main warehouse is in Romeoville, IL. Shared workspace is in Chicago, IL. Field work with exposure to various working conditions, including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor settings with regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols in commercial buildings within Chicagoland (k-12 Schools, Medical Office Buildings/Hospitals, Institutional, etc.).
