Business Analyst
Position Title: Business Analyst (Management Analyst II)
Location: Herrity Building; 12055 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA. 22035
Hours: This is a year-round part-time position averaging 30 hours per week.
Salary: $40 per hour, benefits eligible*
Overview: Join the Park Authority and our nationally recognized team of professionals! The Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to be a part of one of the most highly-regarded park systems in the country.
Under supervision of the Revenue Applications Manager, acts as overall project coordinator for the Recreation Management system replacement, including coordinating the full RFP process, vendor selection, business process review and software implementation. Coordinates overall project team including developing and managing all internal schedules, defining and assigning tasks, developing and ensuring FCPA meets deadlines/timelines relating to system implementation. Sets up and creates documentation for all RFP and implementation needs. Acts as project coordinator for implementation of new system, working closely with vendor, internal FCPA staff, and County staff on all aspects of implementation.
Duties Include:
- Coordinate project timelines, meetings, and deliverables
- Organization and documentation related to implementation of Recreation Management system
- Facilitate communication across business units and technical teams
- Support testing activities
- Help ensure a smooth cutover and post-implementation support transition
- All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting IT or business systems implementation projects
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Proficiency with project management tools
Note: *This position is scheduled to work a minimum 1,040 hours and no more than a maximum of 1,560 hours in a calendar year. This position is eligible to receive limited benefits, including: Medical/Vision/Dental Insurance Coverage, Flexible Spending Program, and Deferred Compensation.
