Bilingual Associate Attorney

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual Associate Attorney specializing in Personal Injury Litigation and some Family Law litigation to join our vibrant legal team. Duties

  • Manage all phases of personal injury cases from initial client consultation through trial preparation and resolution
  • Manage a caseload under attorney supervision.
  • Conduct client case evaluations to understand their legal needs and objectives.
  • Draft various legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
  • Attend and represent clients during hearings, mediations, depositions, trial and other court appearances.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on case status and strategy.
  • Carry out detailed legal research and prepare comprehensive legal memoranda.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients when appropriate.
  • Ensure that all client files are maintained accurately and in an organized manner.
  • Work collaboratively with paralegals and support staff to facilitate efficient case management.
  • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements
  • Prepare clients for court depositions, mediations, and trial proceedings by providing comprehensive guidance
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other stakeholders in both English and Spanish
  • Maintain meticulous case files using legal case management software while ensuring compliance with procedural law requirements

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in relevant jurisdictions
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is essential for client communication
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas, or a recent law school graduate awaiting results from bar exam.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and maintain strong relationships.
  • Capability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Professional demeanor and a strong work ethic committed to excellence in the legal profession.
  • Previous experience in internships, clerkships, or law clinics highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal case management software is a plus, aiding in efficient management of cases. Strong knowledge of procedural law, statutory research, and courtroom procedure.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal motions, pleadings, and correspondence
  • Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
  • Prior law office experience handling personal injury law cases or related practice areas is a plus but not required.
