Child Services Attendant

POSITION OVERVIEW

Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics (HFFA) is looking for an energetic, dependable, and caring Child Services Attendant to provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children while their parents enjoy our amenities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, brings positive energy to the team, and takes pride in creating a great experience for families. The position includes caring for children of various ages, including infants.

Hours: 3:00 PM – 7:45 PM

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise children and maintain a safe, engaging environment.

Check children in and out and verify authorized parent/guardian pickup.

Maintain accurate attendance and child-care records.

Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for infants, toddlers, and children.

Comfort and soothe infants and respond appropriately to their individual needs.

Assist with bottles, snacks, diapering, and other basic care as permitted by facility procedures.

Follow parent/guardian instructions regarding routines, allergies, and individual care needs.

Maintain active supervision at all times.

Follow all safety, emergency, sanitation, and child services procedures.

Keep the child services area clean, organized, and welcoming.

Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and team members.

Report incidents, injuries, or concerns to leadership.

Support teammates and contribute to a positive team environment.

Provide exceptional hospitality and customer service to members and guests.

Qualifications
 

Must be 16 years of age or older.

Childcare experience preferred.

Infant-care experience preferred.

Current CPR certification required, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Dependable, responsible, and punctual.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patient, attentive, and comfortable working with children of different ages.

Able to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations.

Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain appropriate supervision at all times.
