Grant Writing & Development Student Fellow

Organization: Entitled Futures
Position Type: Part-Time Student Fellowship
Compensation: Stipend Provided
Location: Berkeley in person 

Entitled Futures is a culturally responsive, community-based mental health organization serving youth and young adults ages 12–25 throughout the East Bay. The organization works to bring mental health and wellness support directly into trusted community spaces such as schools, libraries, recreation centers, workforce programs, and affordable housing communities.

We are seeking a motivated student to support our grant writing, fundraising, and development efforts. The student will gain hands-on experience researching funding opportunities, helping prepare grant applications, and learning how nonprofit organizations build financial support for community programs.

Responsibilities

  • Research foundations, corporations, and other funding opportunities that align with the mission of Entitled Futures.
  • Assist with drafting grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and other funding-related materials.
  • Help organize grant deadlines, application requirements, and supporting documents.
  • Assist with gathering program information and data needed for grant applications.
  • Support other fundraising and development projects as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal student has strong writing, research, and organizational skills and is interested in nonprofit work, mental health, public health, youth services, or community development. Previous grant writing experience is helpful but not required. Training and guidance will be provided.
