Student Social Media & Campus Storytelling Fellowship

Student Social Media & Campus Storytelling Fellowship

Organization: Entitled Futures
Position Type: Part-Time Student Fellowship
Compensation: Stipend Provided
Location: Any Campus/ Hybrid

Entitled Futures is a culturally responsive, community based mental health organization serving youth and young adults ages 12–25. We work to make mental health and wellness resources more accessible by bringing support, conversations, and resources into trusted community spaces.

We are seeking a creative, outgoing, and motivated student to help us bring authentic student voices into conversations about mental health and wellness.

A key part of this role will be interviewing students on campus about their mental health and wellness journeys and turning those conversations into engaging social media content. Through short interviews, videos, and student stories, the fellow will help normalize conversations about mental health, highlight different experiences, and encourage young people to prioritize their well being and seek support when needed.

The student will also support Entitled Futures' broader social media, digital communications, and community awareness efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct short, engaging interviews with students on campus about mental health, wellness, stress, self care, personal growth, and their experiences navigating college life.
  • Develop thoughtful and culturally responsive interview questions that encourage authentic conversations while respecting students' boundaries and privacy.
  • Film and help edit student interviews into short form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other social platforms.
  • Identify creative ways to make conversations about mental health approachable, relatable, and engaging for young people.
  • Create social media posts, captions, graphics, and short form content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Help develop recurring social media series centered on student voices, mental health journeys, wellness, and campus experiences.
  • Support a consistent social media posting schedule and content calendar.
  • Create flyers, promotional materials, and digital content for Entitled Futures programs, events, partnerships, and community activities.
  • Capture and organize photos, videos, interviews, and other content from campus and community events.
  • Monitor social media engagement and identify opportunities to increase awareness, followers, and interaction.
  • Maintain consistent messaging and branding across Entitled Futures' social media platforms.

Qualifications

The ideal student is comfortable approaching and talking with other students, curious about people's stories, and passionate about creating meaningful digital content.

Experience with Instagram, TikTok, Canva, photography, interviewing, video editing, or content creation is helpful but not required. Strong communication skills, creativity, reliability, and an interest in mental health and wellness are especially important.

Students interested in communications, journalism, marketing, media, psychology, public health, mental health, social work, or nonprofit work are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Gain

This fellowship provides hands on experience in:

  • On camera and street style interviewing
  • Student storytelling and community engagement
  • Short form video production
  • Social media strategy and content creation
  • Mental health communications

Most importantly, you'll help create a platform where students can share their experiences, learn from one another, and make conversations about mental health feel more normal, accessible, and connected to everyday campus life.
