Content and Events GTM Associate
Content & Events GTM (Part-Time Contract) — Pomo
About Pomo
Pomo is an agentic AI marketing platform: your AI marketing team, on shift daily. Every morning we surface market shifts, competitor moves, prospects, and approval-ready campaign recommendations before the workday starts, then help teams launch and optimize across paid, social, and AI search (AEO/GEO). We are headquartered in Palo Alto and work with brands across DTC and ecommerce, B2B, agencies, and local retail.

Backed by Kindred Ventures (early in Perplexity, Coinbase, and Uber), Databricks Ventures, SV Angel, 645 Ventures, Seven Stars, and Timeless Partners, plus angels including Scott Belsky, founder of Behance.
Team from Google DeepMind, Databricks, Meta, and Google.
Who you would be working with
- A team out of Google DeepMind, Databricks, and Meta. Our founders built applied AI at Google DeepMind and data infrastructure at Databricks. Our early engineers come from Google and Meta. You will sit next to people who have shipped AI at the scale of billions of users.
- Investors who were early to the biggest names in AI. Our round was led by Kindred Ventures, an early backer of Perplexity, Coinbase, and Uber. Databricks Ventures, SV Angel, Seven Stars, 645 Ventures, and Timeless Partners joined, along with angels including Scott Belsky, the founder of Behance and former Chief Strategy Officer at Adobe.
- $4.5M in seed funding and a product already in the hands of design partners. The company is small enough that the content you write and the events you run are the company's public face, not a line item in someone else's plan.
The role
We are hiring one part-time contractor to own the top of our go-to-market motion: the content we publish, the videos we ship, and the rooms we show up in. This is a build-it role, not a maintain-it role. You will write, film, ship, and measure, and you will plan the founder dinners, demo nights, and conference presence that turn viewers into pipeline. You will work directly with the founders on messaging and positioning.
This is our first dedicated GTM hire. Whoever takes it gets to define how Pomo sounds and where Pomo shows up, in the Bay Area and New York, at the exact moment the category is being decided.
Expect roughly 15-20 hours per week on a 3-6 month contract, with the option to extend.
What you will do
- Write and ship GTM content: launch posts, customer stories, founder social posts, newsletters, and landing page copy
- Produce launch videos and short-form video: script, shoot, edit, and publish product launches, demos, and founder clips for LinkedIn, X, and YouTube
- Own the content calendar end to end, from brief and draft through edit, publish, and distribution
- Plan and execute events: founder dinners, demo nights, meetups, and conference or booth presence in the Bay Area and New York
- Run event logistics, including venue, vendors, invite lists, run-of-show, and day-of execution
- Drive pre- and post-event GTM: outreach, follow-up sequences, and clean handoff to sales
- Track what works, from content and video performance to event attendance and sourced pipeline, and report on it
Requirements
This is a high bar for a part-time role, and we mean it. You should be able to point to work you have already shipped, not work you would like to try.
- You have created content for a startup. Not a class project or a club newsletter: real content published under a real company's name, where someone was counting on it to bring in customers.
- You have made launch videos. You have scripted, shot, and edited product launch or demo video that went out publicly, and you can send us the link.
- You have run real events. You have owned an event end to end, with a budget, a guest list, vendors, and a day-of run-of-show that you personally executed.
- You have a portfolio. Writing, video, and events. We will look at all three.
- You write clearly about technical products without hiding behind jargon.
- You are organized and reliable: you keep a calendar, hit dates, and follow up without being chased.
- You are based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City and can be in person for events.
This is probably not the right fit if
- Your experience is strategy decks and plans rather than shipped work
- You have never edited video and would need to learn on the job
- You want a defined scope and a manager assigning tasks each week
- You cannot get to events in the Bay Area or New York in person
Nice to have
- Comfort with a modern video stack: CapCut, Premiere, Descript, Figma
- Hands-on experience with Webflow, HubSpot, Notion, or Luma
- Familiarity with SEO, AEO, or paid social
- An existing audience of your own, however small
Details
- Part-time contract, roughly 15-20 hours per week, 3-6 months with the option to extend
- $25-35 per hour, depending on experience
- Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area (Palo Alto) or New York City, with in-person work around events
- Open to students, recent graduates, and early-career marketers who meet the bar above
How to apply
Apply through Handshake with your resume and a portfolio containing three things: a piece of writing you published for a startup, a launch or demo video you made, and one event you ran with a note on what you were responsible for. Applications without all three will not move forward.
