Position Overview

Zurix Roofing Systems is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to join our commercial roofing team. This position is designed for an individual who wants to build a career in commercial construction and develop hands-on experience managing roofing projects from initial planning through completion.

The Junior Project Manager will work closely with Senior Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, customers, general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Project Managers with the planning and execution of commercial roofing projects.
• Support projects from pre-construction through final completion and closeout.
• Coordinate material orders, deliveries, equipment, staging, and jobsite logistics.
• Communicate with customers, general contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Assist with project schedules and monitor progress against established milestones.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements.
• Assist with material takeoffs, estimating, purchase orders, and cost tracking.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, photographs, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project records.
• Visit active jobsites to monitor progress, quality, safety, and overall project conditions.
• Assist with identifying potential issues before they impact the project schedule or budget.
• Help prepare change orders, proposals, invoices, and project closeout documentation.
• Coordinate with field leadership to ensure materials, manpower, and equipment are available when needed.
• Assist with warranty requirements, inspections, punch lists, and final project closeout.
• Learn and apply roofing manufacturer requirements, project specifications, OSHA requirements, and company safety procedures.
• Utilize technology and modern project-management tools to improve communication, documentation, and project efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent construction experience will be considered.
• 0–3 years of construction, project management, roofing, or related experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and project documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and other construction/project-management software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel to active commercial construction sites as required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
