HR Communications & Design Student Worker - Work Study Only

Position Summary

The HR Communications & Design Student Worker supports the Office of Human Resources through the creation of engaging visual and written communications. This position assists with marketing HR programs, employee training opportunities, onboarding initiatives, and campus-wide communications while gaining hands-on experience in design, branding, and professional communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create graphics, flyers, presentations, and promotional materials for HR programs and events. 
  • Assist with the design and maintenance of HR webpages, SharePoint sites, and digital resources. 
  • Draft and edit employee communications, newsletters, announcements, and marketing materials. 
  • Capture and edit photos and videos for training, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives. 
  • Support branding and visual consistency across HR materials. 
  • Assist with communication campaigns related to benefits, wellness, training, recruitment, and employee engagement. 
  • Collaborate with HR staff to develop creative solutions for communication and outreach needs. 
  • Assist with special projects and events as assigned. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software. 
  • Strong written communication and editing skills. 
  • Knowledge of social media and digital communication strategies. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. 
  • Portfolio or examples of previous creative work preferred.
