Fundraising & Development Intern
*Please note: this is an unpaid internship opportunity. Academic credit is available.
We're seeking interns to join our development team, in support of our fundraising and grantseeking efforts. Successful completion of the internship will result in the offer of regular, full-time employment as a Development Associate with our organization.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in nonprofit fundraising, communications, marketing, and related fields
- Desire to pursue a career in nonprofit development
- Ability to successfully complete a background check
Core Responsibilities:
- Conducting online research utilizing a variety of different sources (e.g., websites, tax filings, proprietary databases)
- Engaging with established corporate fundraising targets
- Supporting stewardship of our donors and event sponsors/exhibitors, including scheduling calls and meetings, tracking content, and logging donations
- Drafting fundraising materials, including correspondence for the Executive Director and content for our various campaigns and appeals
