About the Role
We are seeking a Strategic Finance & Planning Intern to support financial analysis, forecasting, and investment decisions across Oaklin Lane. You will build models that help leadership understand performance, evaluate growth initiatives, and allocate resources effectively.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting financial analysis to operating decisions rather than analyzing numbers in isolation.
Responsibilities
Build financial and operating models for new locations, services, and growth initiatives
Analyze budgets, forecasts, unit economics, and location-level performance
Support monthly reporting and variance analysis
Evaluate investment requirements, returns, and key sensitivities
Develop scenario analyses for staffing, pricing, reimbursement, and capacity decisions
Improve recurring financial reports and planning tools
Prepare concise analyses and recommendations for senior leadership
Example Projects
Build a financial model for a new pediatric therapy clinic
Analyze therapist productivity, staffing levels, and location-level profitability
Develop a rolling forecast and performance dashboard
Evaluate the economics of a new service line or community program
Compare actual results with plan and identify the operational drivers of variances
Qualifications
Current undergraduate or graduate student in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field
Strong financial modeling and quantitative skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and unit economics
Ability to translate financial results into clear business implications
Strong attention to detail, judgment, and communication skills
Proficiency in PowerPoint or Google Slides
Based in and authorized to work in the United States
Experience in finance, accounting, investment banking, private equity, consulting, FP&A, or healthcare is helpful but not required.
