Location: 5525 Ascot Dr., Oakland, CA 94611
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Pay: $25–$40/hour, based on experience
Position: Part-Time | In-Person

🎨 Bring Creativity to Life

We’re looking for an enthusiastic 3D Pen Art Instructor to introduce young learners to the creative world of 3D design through hands-on projects and artistic exploration.

Students will learn how to use 3D pens to turn ideas into physical creations while developing creativity, patience, spatial thinking, and problem-solving skills. You’ll guide them through fun projects and encourage them to experiment, design, and build with confidence.

You don't need to be a professional artist or experienced teacher. If you're creative, comfortable using a 3D pen, and enjoy helping children explore their ideas, you may be a great fit.

Curriculum guidance and instructional materials are provided, so you’ll have the support you need while still having room to bring your own energy and creativity to the classroom.

✏️ What You'll Do

  • Lead fun, hands-on 3D Pen Art sessions for young learners
  • Teach students how to safely and effectively use 3D pens
  • Guide students through creative 3D art and design projects
  • Introduce basic concepts of 3D design, shapes, structures, and spatial thinking
  • Demonstrate techniques clearly and break projects into manageable steps
  • Encourage students to experiment, create, and develop their own ideas
  • Use engaging activities and challenges to keep students motivated
  • Adapt projects to different ages, abilities, and experience levels
  • Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance
  • Provide positive feedback and celebrate student progress
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
  • Properly manage and care for 3D pens and classroom materials
  • Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
  • Arrive prepared, dependable, and ready to create

🌟 What We're Looking For

You don't need to be a professional artist or traditional teacher. We're looking for someone who can make creative projects exciting, approachable, and fun for young learners.

You may be a great fit if you have:

  • Experience or familiarity with 3D pens, 3D printing, crafting, art, or design
  • A strong creative mindset and enthusiasm for hands-on projects
  • Patience and an encouraging personality
  • The ability to demonstrate techniques clearly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort leading groups of young learners
  • The ability to adapt activities to different skill levels
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
  • A willingness to follow provided curriculum while adding your own creativity
  •

Teaching experience is a plus, but not required. Experience in art instruction, crafting, 3D design, STEM, tutoring, camps, youth programs, mentoring, or education is helpful.

Artists, designers, makers, 3D printing enthusiasts, college students, recent graduates, aspiring educators, and creative hobbyists are all encouraged to apply.

💡 Why You'll Love This Role

  • Competitive Pay: Earn $25–$40/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Curriculum Support: Get teaching materials and guidance, so you don't have to build lessons from scratch.
  • Hands-On Creativity: Spend your time creating, experimenting, and building—not just lecturing.
  • Meaningful Work: Help children develop creativity, confidence, spatial thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Build Valuable Experience: Develop skills in teaching, communication, classroom leadership, and youth development.
  • Creative Freedom: Bring your own ideas, personality, and artistic style into the classroom.

🎨 This Role Could Be a Great Fit If You Are

  • A 3D pen or 3D printing enthusiast
  • A crafting or DIY enthusiast
  • A student studying art, design, architecture, engineering, or a related field
  • A college student or recent graduate
  • An aspiring teacher or educator
