About the Role

We are seeking a Healthcare Operations & Process Improvement Intern to help make care easier to access and our clinics easier to operate. You will own a defined operational workstream and work closely with company leaders to understand a problem, analyze its root causes, design a practical solution, and support implementation.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the details of how work actually happens and making it better.

Responsibilities

Map patient, therapist, and administrative workflows

Analyze scheduling, capacity, intake, authorizations, documentation, and revenue-cycle processes

Identify bottlenecks, delays, rework, and inconsistent practices

Develop standard operating procedures, checklists, and implementation tools

Support testing and rollout of process improvements

Establish metrics to measure whether changes are working

Help prepare new locations for opening and promote consistency across clinics

Example Projects

Reduce the time between a family’s first inquiry and a child’s initial evaluation

Improve therapist scheduling and clinic capacity utilization

Standardize the new-patient intake and insurance-authorization process

Build a readiness checklist for opening new clinics

Identify and address the causes of cancellations or unfilled appointment slots

Qualifications

Current undergraduate or graduate student in business, healthcare administration, industrial engineering, public health, operations, or a related field

Strong structured problem-solving and process-mapping skills

Ability to gather information from multiple stakeholders and identify root causes

Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and PowerPoint or Google Slides

Strong organization, communication, and follow-through

Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being built

High level of professionalism and discretion with sensitive information

Based in and authorized to work in the United States

Experience in healthcare, consulting, operations, or process improvement is helpful but not required.
