🤖 Bring Robotics to Life
We’re looking for an enthusiastic LEGO Robotics Instructor to introduce young learners to the exciting world of robotics through hands-on building, problem-solving, and creative challenges.
You’ll guide students as they build and experiment with LEGO-based robots, explore basic engineering and coding concepts, and turn their ideas into working creations.
You don't need to be a professional robotics instructor or engineer. If you enjoy LEGO, technology, building, or problem-solving and can make STEM learning fun for children, you may be a great fit.
Curriculum guidance and instructional materials are provided, giving you the structure and support you need while leaving room for your own creativity and teaching style.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Lead fun, hands-on LEGO Robotics sessions for young learners
- Guide students through building and programming LEGO-based robots
- Introduce age-appropriate concepts in robotics, engineering, coding, and problem-solving
- Help students understand how their creations work through experimentation and testing
- Use challenges and activities to encourage creativity and critical thinking
- Break down technical concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps
- Encourage students to design, build, test, troubleshoot, and improve their projects
- Adapt activities to different skill levels and learning styles
- Foster teamwork and positive collaboration
- Create a safe, welcoming, and supportive classroom environment
- Provide constructive feedback and celebrate student progress
- Maintain an organized classroom and properly manage LEGO and robotics materials
- Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
- Arrive prepared, dependable, and ready to build and create
🌟 What We're Looking For
You don't need to be a robotics expert or experienced teacher. We're looking for someone who can make building and technology exciting and approachable for young learners.
You may be a great fit if you have:
- Familiarity with LEGO and an interest in robotics, technology, engineering, or coding
- Strong problem-solving and creative-thinking skills
- Patience and enthusiasm when working with children
- The ability to explain technical concepts clearly and simply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort leading and engaging groups of young learners
- A hands-on, curious, and encouraging approach
- Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
- Willingness to follow provided curriculum while bringing your own creativity to the classroom
Teaching experience is a plus, but not required. Experience in robotics, STEM education, coding, tutoring, camps, youth programs, mentoring, engineering, or technology is helpful.
Robotics enthusiasts, engineering and computer science students, LEGO builders, college students, recent graduates, aspiring educators, and STEM professionals are all encouraged to apply.
