🎵 Teach Music. Inspire Confidence.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Ukulele Instructor to introduce young learners to the joy of making music.
You’ll teach the fundamentals of ukulele—including chords, rhythm, strumming, and simple songs—while creating a fun, supportive environment where students can learn, participate, and build confidence.
You don't need to be a professional musician or career teacher. If you play ukulele well, enjoy working with children, and can make learning fun, we’d love to hear from you.
Curriculum and instructional materials are provided, so you can focus on teaching and engaging your students.
🎸 What You'll Do
- Lead fun, engaging, beginner-friendly ukulele sessions
- Teach basic chords, rhythm, strumming, and playing techniques
- Teach simple songs and exercises students can practice and perform
- Break down new concepts into clear, easy-to-follow steps
- Use games and interactive activities to keep students engaged
- Adapt instruction to different skill levels and learning styles
- Encourage creativity, participation, and confidence
- Provide positive feedback and celebrate student progress
- Create a safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environment
- Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
- Arrive prepared, reliable, and ready to teach
🌟 What We're Looking For
You may be a great fit if you have:
- Strong ukulele skills and confidence demonstrating basic techniques
- A genuine passion for music and working with children
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive teaching approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to lead engaging group activities
- Reliability and professionalism
- Comfort working with beginners and students with little or no musical experience
Teaching experience is a plus, but not required. Experience in music instruction, tutoring, performing, camps, youth programs, mentoring, or education is helpful.
Music students, performing musicians, experienced hobbyists, aspiring teachers, and passionate ukulele players are all encouraged to apply.
