Every day, millions of people struggle to get the mental health care they need. Real, lasting change requires action in the halls of Congress and in local communities across the country. At A Better Way PAC, we are working to pass federal legislation that funds emotional education in schools and establishes free public counseling programs nationwide. As a Political Advocacy Intern, you will be on the front lines of this movement. You won't just be watching change happen—you will be actively driving it. By raising crucial funds, building strong partnerships, creating engaging media, and spreading awareness, your work will directly help secure accessible mental health resources for communities across America.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Political Advocacy Intern, you will combine political action, community outreach, and content creation to build our movement and raise the funds needed to advocate for national mental health reform.

Key Responsibilities:

Secure donations to fund accessible mental health resources and advocacy efforts across the country.

Reach out to mental health advocacy organizations, community groups, and potential donors to create long-term alliances.

Spread awareness by writing blogs and articles, designing posters and PowerPoints, and producing short videos and social media posts.

Help manage our PAC’s social media accounts to keep our community engaged, informed, and growing.

Research and brainstorm innovative ways to find new donors and reach broader audiences.

Study effective campaign and non-profit fundraising techniques to help optimize our outreach strategy.

Track donor communications, contributions, and contacts to build lasting relationships with our supporters.

Qualifications:

Current college student passionate about political advocacy, mental health reform, communications, or non-profit work.

Strong written and visual communication skills (experience with writing, video editing, or graphic design tools like Canva is a plus).

Creative thinker eager to test new fundraising strategies and outreach ideas.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Reliable, self-motivated, and excited to create real political change for mental health.
