24 hour shifts every 3rd day rotation. Provides care to sick and injured patients in pre-hospital settings.  May provide care to patients having more complex medical or trauma problems in extenuating circumstances. Possesses broad-based clinical skills including communication, mentoring, advocacy, critical thinking, accountability for self, peers and staff and assisting in maintaining a healthy work environment.

Must be a graduate of an accredited Paramedic program and possess valid Iowa Paramedic certification; OR meet the requirements to be an RN Exempt Paramedic as specified by the State of Iowa Bureau of Emergency and Trauma Services.
