Investment Analyst
Monachil Capital Partners is actively seeking an Investment Analyst that will assist in the evaluation and execution of a growing number of private credit investment opportunities spanning all asset classes and geographies. The position will report to the team responsible for the origination and structuring of new investments.
Office relocating to New York City, New York in December 2026.
Role Description
- Assist with diligence and execution of private debt investment opportunities across multiple asset classes and geographies
- Evaluate loan-level portfolio data and identify trends related to performance
- Analyze diligence information to form views on future investment performance that will drive key components of term sheets
- Create and update investment transactions memos regarding new and existing fund investments
- Evaluate and monitor the ongoing performance of existing investments
- Complete research projects on potential investments and industries of interest
- Maintain deal pipeline and document all screened investment opportunities
- Effectively manage fund operations including flow of information and accounting data
- Assist the business development team with any deal related inquiries involved in the fundraising process
Candidate Requirements
- Recent graduate OR college senior with an expected graduation date of Winter 2026 or Spring 2027
- Start date flexible depending on graduation date/status
- Recent graduates expected to start immediately
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, math, or STEM fields
- Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
- Ability to wear multiple hats and complete complicated tasks with minimal supervision
- Proven leadership and demonstrated ability to work well in a team
- Advanced Excel skills
- Basic understanding of accounting
- Knowledge of Asset Based Finance is preferred but not required
- Experience with programming and data engineering is a plus
- Ability to commute to Greenwich, CT
