Data Scientist Intern

Overview

We are seeking a Data Scientist Intern to join our team and support data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with real-world datasets, develop analytical solutions, and gain practical experience applying data science techniques to business and technical problems.

Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets.
Perform exploratory data analysis and identify meaningful patterns and trends.
Develop and evaluate statistical and machine learning models.
Build data visualizations and communicate insights clearly.
Assist with feature engineering, model evaluation, and experimentation.
Work with team members to define analytical problems and develop data-driven solutions.
Document analysis, methodologies, and research findings.
Support ongoing data science and machine learning projects.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Python.
Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, and basic data visualization tools.
Understanding of statistics, probability, and basic machine learning concepts.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
Experience working with large datasets.
Knowledge of statistical modeling, regression, classification, or time-series analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau.
Previous data science, machine learning, or research experience is a plus.
