Accounting and Operations Intern
Rev1 Technologies is a 3D scanning and 3D printing technology company in Auburn Hills. We sell and support professional 3D scanners, printers, and inspection software for manufacturers across the country. We are looking for a part-time Accounting and Operations Intern who wants real accounting and finance experience, not a filing-cabinet internship.
You will work directly with the owner and run our day-to-day transactional finance in Zoho Books and Zoho CRM: accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer invoicing, purchase orders, and vendor bills, plus the order operations that drive them. This is the full order-to-cash and procure-to-pay cycle that accounting and finance students usually only read about before graduation. This is a 3-month temporary internship (September through November) with the possibility of becoming a permanent role. Prior experience with accounting or business software is beneficial but not required. We will train you.
What you’ll do:
- Process customer invoices and payments and keep receivables current (AR)
- Enter vendor bills, match them to purchase orders, and track what we owe (AP)
- Create sales orders and purchase orders in Zoho Books
- Communicate with vendors on pricing, availability, and shipping timelines
- Prepare shipments: pack, label, and hand off packages to carriers; track deliveries
- Keep customer and order records clean and up to date in our CRM
What we’re looking for:
- Accounting or finance major preferred; supply chain and business/operations majors also a strong fit, any major welcome
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning a checklist
- Willing to learn cloud accounting software; experience with QuickBooks, Excel, or any ERP/accounting system is a plus
- Clear written communication for vendor and customer emails
- Able to handle physical packages (lifting boxes, packing, labeling)
