Senior Trade Compliance Officer

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Trade Compliance officer to lead trade documentation,
compliance controls, business administration, and cross-functional operational support. The
role is primarily focused on international trade and business operations, with office
administration as a supporting responsibility. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in
import/export, logistics, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, or cross-border business and
can build reliable processes, identify risk, and coordinate multiple internal and external
stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the preparation, review, retention, and audit readiness of import and export
documentation.
• Review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills, certificates of origin,
purchase orders, sales orders, and delivery records.
• Ensure consistency across supplier, customer, shipment, customs, finance, and internal
records.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses, suppliers,
customers, and other service providers.
• Support customs inquiries, inspections, claims, compliance reviews, and document requests.
• Develop and improve SOPs for trade documentation, approvals, vendor onboarding, record
retention, and logistics coordination.
• Identify documentation gaps, compliance risks, process weaknesses, and unresolved
operational issues.
• Partner with finance, purchasing, logistics, warehouse, sales, and executive teams.
• Oversee supporting office administration, vendor services, facilities coordination, and
administrative records.
• Guide junior trade and administrative staff and provide leadership with clear risk and status
updates.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Law, Business
Administration or a related field.
• 3 + years of relevant experience in international trade, import/export, supply chain, logistics,
wholesale distribution, manufacturing, trade compliance, or cross-border operations.
• Practical experience with trade documents and commercial transactions.
• Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses, suppliers,
or overseas partners.
• Strong understanding of documentation controls, internal procedures, record retention, and
operational risk.
• Strong judgment, organization, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Mandarin-English bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred.

Technology & AI Readiness
Experience with ERP, procurement, document-management, compliance, or workflow systems
is preferred. Comfort using approved AI tools for research, document comparison, SOP drafting,
process analysis, and briefing preparation is strongly preferred.
Employees are expected to use modern business software and approved digital tools effectively.
AI-assisted work must be independently reviewed for accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.

personal information must not be entered into public or unapproved AI tools.

Work Model Full-time, on-site
Base Salary $100,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
Benefits Standard company benefits package.
Annual Bonus Eligible employees may be considered for an annual performance-based bonus based on individual and company performance. Bonus eligibility, amount, and payment are subject to the applicable company bonus plan and are not guaranteed.
