Job Title: Ethics Manager Intern

Location: Remote (EST)

Duration: 4 Months, 5 Hours a Week (Exceptions for Midterms and Finals) 

Compensation: Unpaid / Academic Credit Available

What You’ll Be Doing: 

As an Ethics Manager Intern, you will ensure all fundraising, disbursements, and operations strictly follow federal laws, finance regulations, and internal corporate ethics codes. This includes overseeing legal filing, screen contributions for limits, and managing transparency standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

• File accurate periodic financial reports with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) or state equivalents
• Review incoming contributions and outgoing candidate disbursements against legal limits, prohibitions, and corporate/union rules
• Maintain transparent financial ledgers, perform bank reconciliations, and handle internal reviews or external audits
• Educate fellow staff on grassroots political engagement limits and ethics rules

Qualifications

• Majoring in political science, public policy, business administration, accounting, or law.
• Entry level role
