Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Work with business and technical teams to understand business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, patterns, gaps, and opportunities.
• Create business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement documents (FRDs), user stories, and process documentation.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate business insights.
• Use Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical tools to analyze and visualize data.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
• Create process flows, workflow diagrams, and business process documentation.
• Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), test case preparation, and defect tracking.
• Collaborate with developers, data analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project requirements and ensure deliverables align with business objectives.
• Prepare presentations and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support continuous process improvement and automation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of business analysis concepts and requirements gathering.
• Knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze complex information and present it in a clear and understandable manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, R, or other analytical tools.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
• Understanding of SDLC and software development processes.
• Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Internship, academic, or project experience involving business analysis, data analysis, reporting, or process improvement.
