Business Analyst
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Work with business and technical teams to understand business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, patterns, gaps, and opportunities.
- Create business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement documents (FRDs), user stories, and process documentation.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate business insights.
- Use Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical tools to analyze and visualize data.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
- Create process flows, workflow diagrams, and business process documentation.
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), test case preparation, and defect tracking.
- Collaborate with developers, data analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project requirements and ensure deliverables align with business objectives.
- Prepare presentations and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support continuous process improvement and automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of business analysis concepts and requirements gathering.
- Knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze complex information and present it in a clear and understandable manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python, R, or other analytical tools.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
- Understanding of SDLC and software development processes.
- Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Internship, academic, or project experience involving business analysis, data analysis, reporting, or process improvement.
