Job Description

Succentrix Prairieville, a fractional CFO and business advisory practice, seeks a motivated accounting student for a part-time, remote support role. This position offers hands-on exposure to real client workflows, bookkeeping fundamentals, and the day-to-day operations of a growing advisory firm. The role is well suited to a student who is organized, dependable, and eager to build practical accounting and technology skills alongside coursework.

Responsibilities

  • Support the flow of client work through the firm's workflow management software, Tax Dome, including tracking task status and keeping projects moving.
  • Assist with routine client communications in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks under supervision, with opportunities to build QuickBooks Online proficiency.
  • Draft and schedule weekly social media posts to keep the firm's online presence active and engaging.
  • Complete general administrative tasks as assigned, including document organization and data entry.
  • Learn and adapt quickly to new software tools as the role requires.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a declared major in Accounting.
  • Available to work 10 to 15 hours per week on a flexible, remote basis.
  • Comfortable learning new software quickly; prior exposure to QuickBooks Online is preferred but not required.
  • Strong written communication skills, particularly for client-facing correspondence and social media content.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to manage multiple small tasks independently.
  • Preference given to candidates based in the Baton Rouge area, particularly LSU students, in case an in-person meeting is ever needed.
