Intern Trainee - Engagement Coordinator
Would you like to provide support to St. Louis County's Extension Office by assisting with office support for diversion programing in order to provide positive, productive opportunities for justice-involved youth in our community? You’ll assist with gathering information about programming and community resources based on client needs and support these individuals with a smooth, organized process while participating in their restorative justice program. Your work will directly influence lives and strengthen our community.
This internship includes, but is not limited to, participating in intake meetings, attending programming meetings and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will compile county and local resources for diversion participants while helping to curate personal programs for each client. Office work includes filing, printing, uploading and shredding of documents. The successful candidate for this temporary role will correspond with employees within the county and clients. The work is performed in accordance with department policies under the work direction and guidance of designated supervisory staff.

The Intern Trainee classification is used to provide internship placements for students who seek a practical work experience in their academic field of study.

POSITION INFORMATION:
This temporary position will run for a period of time tentatively set for September through November with an expectation of 15-20 hours of work per week.
Selection Process:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Pass/Fail):
- Candidates for Intern Trainee placements must be actively enrolled in a four year degree program with Junior or Senior status; OR, must have graduated from a four year degree program within the last six months.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has effective communication skills through email, phone, and in person.
- Is comfortable speaking to groups of up to 15 people.
