Youth Ministry Director (Full-Time)

The Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring | Chambersburg, PA

The Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered leader to serve as our Youth Ministry Director. This individual will provide vision, leadership, and discipleship for students in grades 6 through 12, helping them grow into authentic followers of Jesus Christ. The Youth Ministry Director will build meaningful relationships with youth and families, equip volunteers, and create engaging opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, service, and outreach. This is a full-time ministry position dedicated to nurturing the faith formation of middle and high school students while supporting parents as the primary spiritual influencers in their children's lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, leadership, and discipleship for youth ministry.
  • Build meaningful relationships with students and their families.
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders.
  • Lead youth groups, Sunday School, Confirmation, retreats, camps, mission trips, service projects, and special events.
  • Teach and coordinate biblically based lessons that engage students and strengthen their faith.
  • Foster outreach opportunities within local schools and the community.
  • Manage ministry communications, administration, and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with church staff, ministry leaders, and Session.

Qualifications

  • A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Passion for youth discipleship and sharing the Gospel.
  • Strong leadership, relational, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in youth ministry preferred.
  • Degree in youth ministry, biblical studies, theology, or a related field preferred, though candidates with significant youth ministry experience will be considered.

Accountability & Compensation

The Youth Ministry Director reports to the Head of Staff and is accountable to the Personnel Committee and Session. This is a full-time exempt salaried position with compensation based on qualifications and experience.
