Data Warehouse & Analytics Manager

LSU New Orleans is seeking a Data Warehouse and Analytics Manager to join our Information Technology team. This position will oversee institutional data reporting, data warehouse development and maintenance, ETL processes, and external reporting while helping ensure accurate and reliable data is available to support decision-making across the university.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Data Reporting: Direct the production of institutional data reports using tools such as SAS, SQL, Informatica, and Workday, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Lead Data Warehouse Development and Maintenance: Oversee the strategic development and continuous improvement of the OIERP Data Warehouse, including the student data warehouse.
  • Manage ETL Processes: Oversee Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and ensure accurate and efficient data integration across university systems.
  • Support External Reporting: Oversee the development of reports for state and federal agencies, accreditation bodies, and other external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate Data Reports: Review reports produced by data analysts to ensure quality, consistency, accuracy, and adherence to established standards.
  • Support Business Intelligence: Manage enhancements to the data systems that feed the university's Business Intelligence environment and help optimize the availability of actionable institutional data.
  • Perform additional duties as needed in support of university priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five years of experience in data management or reporting.
  • Advanced programming experience in SAS or SQL.
  • Experience communicating data and information to individuals without data management or reporting expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Advanced SAS programming skills.
  • Experience managing data management or reporting projects.
  • Experience creating databases used for reporting and dashboards.
