In-Home Caregiver

We are looking for compassionate, responsible, and dependable college students to provide in-home care to seniors around the Montecito/Santa Barbara area. This is an excellent opportunity for a student who enjoys helping others, wants meaningful work, and is looking for a flexible job that can work around class schedules!

This role can be especially valuable for students pursuing healthcare, nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or related fields.

The ideal candidate will be mature, patient, attentive, and comfortable spending time with an older adult while helping with everyday activities and maintaining a safe, comfortable home environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly companionship and conversation
  • Assist with everyday activities such as light meal preparation, errands, and household tasks
  • Support the senior through their daily personal care such as showering, dressing, skincare and using the toilet
  • Provide reminders for daily medication and appointments
  • Accompany the senior to appointments, walks, shopping, or other activities as needed
  • Help maintain a safe and tidy living environment
  • Observe and communicate any changes in the senior's needs or well-being to Complete Care supervisors
  • Provide respectful, patient, and dependable support

What We're Looking For

  • Someone reliable, punctual, and responsible
  • Warm, patient, and genuinely interested in helping seniors
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a private home
  • Able to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required
  • Previous caregiving, healthcare, volunteer, or customer-service experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right candidate
