Sales And Account Manager
Sales & Account Manager – Store Fixtures
Sullivan Commercial | Indianapolis, IN | Full-Time, In Person
About Us
Sullivan Commercial is a small, Indianapolis-based wholesale distributor with more than 15 years of experience serving the thrift and retail industry, along with the single- and multi-family housing markets. This role supports our store fixture business, where we supply thrift and retail stores with racks, shelving, checkout lanes, and other fixtures used throughout a retail space.
About the Role
We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented college graduate to join our store fixtures team as a Sales and Account Manager. You'll start by learning our extensive product catalog and supporting our fixtures sales lead with quotes, account management, and customer relationships. As you build product knowledge and demonstrate readiness, you'll take on your own accounts — with a clear path to added compensation and, over time, some travel to support customer relationships in the field.
What You'll Do
- Learn our extensive fixtures product catalog — racks, shelving, checkout lanes, and more
- Support the fixtures sales lead with quotes, account management, and day-to-day customer needs
- Build and maintain relationships with current customers
- Manage customer interactions and sales processes through our CRM
- As you grow into the role: prospect and generate new leads, present and demonstrate products, negotiate contracts, and close deals on your own accounts
- Work directly with the VP of Sales
What Success Looks Like
This role is designed to grow. In your first six months, the focus is on learning our products, supporting the team, and building a strong foundation. At the six-month mark, we'll review your progress together and, when you're ready, begin transitioning you onto your own accounts — with commission added on top of your base pay and bonus.
What You'll Need
- Some basic experience with sales
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong business development and account management instincts
- Willingness to learn an extensive product line
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Outside sales experience a plus, but not required
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred; we'll train you on QuickBooks
Compensation & Growth Path
Base Salary: $50,000–$53,000 per year
Quarterly Bonus: Tied to fixtures-side gross profit — the same bonus structure our current team is on, from day one.
6-Month Review: We'll evaluate your readiness to take on your own accounts.
Commission: Added on your own assigned accounts once you transition into account ownership.
Benefits
- 401(k) with company match
- Cell phone reimbursement
- Flexible schedule
- Mileage & travel reimbursement
- Paid time off
- Parental leave
If you're a motivated self-starter who wants to build a career in sales with a growing small business, we'd love to hear from you.
