Support Coordinator

About This Opportunity:

Referral Process: Children are referred by their PCP, school, or parent(s) to Network 180 (CMH). If the child qualifies for I/DD services, they are referred to Spectrum Community Services for support coordination. All services are voluntary. Clients must have active Medicaid and reside in Kent County.

A Support Coordinator provides family-focused services to children with developmental disabilities. The goal is to assist children in building on their strengths while helping families remain safely together in the family home. The Support Coordinator works in environments convenient to the child and family to link, monitor, and coordinate services throughout Kent County.

Degree and Licensing Requirements:

Applicants with degrees that require professional licensure must obtain their limited license within three months of their date of hire

Benefits and Work Schedule:

After 90 days and based on supervisor approval, Support Coordinators can work a minimum of 15 hours in the office, with the remaining hours worked from home or in the community throughout Kent County. We offer flexible scheduling, with typical hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasionally, meetings with families may occur after hours, and these hours can be flexed. There are no on-call phone duties or weekend requirements.

Flex Time: Time away from work for appointments or other needs may be flexed and is not considered personal leave (PL). For example, if you have a doctor's appointment, you may flex that time and make up the hours later the same day or on another weekday.

Caseload Bracket System:

  • Bracket 1: 0–27 cases — $20/hour
  • Bracket 2: 28–30 cases — $21/hour
  • Bracket 3: 31–33 cases — $22/hour
