Videography Editor

Egea Wealth Team is seeking a talented Northwestern student with videography and video-editing experience to help us produce professional video content for our financial planning and sustainable investing businesses.

We are initially looking for help producing three professional, approximately 3-minute videos, with the opportunity for significant ongoing work if the relationship is a good fit.

Initial Project

The first project will consist of three videos featuring one of our financial advisors speaking directly to camera:

1. Egea Wealth Team Overview
A professional introduction to our wealth management practice and the work we do for clients, including:

  • Financial planning
  • Retirement and income planning
  • Investment and portfolio construction
  • Our overall approach to wealth management

2. Sustainable & Responsible Investing (SRI)
An introduction to our sustainable investing practice, covering many of the same financial planning and retirement concepts while explaining how we incorporate sustainability considerations into portfolio construction.

The video will also introduce the long-term investment opportunity we see as the global economy transitions toward renewable and lower-carbon sources of energy.

3. The Bull Case for Renewable Energy Investing
A more educational and investment-focused video explaining why we believe the transition from fossil fuels toward renewable energy represents a significant long-term investment theme and why this may be an especially interesting point in that transition.

Production

Each finished video will be approximately 3 minutes long, give or take.

We would like these videos to have a polished, professional look and are open to creative and technical recommendations from the videographer.

We anticipate the shoot may involve:

  • Professional lighting
  • High-quality microphone/audio
  • One or preferably two cameras
  • B-roll of the exterior and interior of our office
  • Appropriate graphics, titles, and visual elements during the videos
  • Professional editing, color correction, and audio
  • Intro/outro graphics as appropriate

Ideally, the videographer would either have access to the necessary equipment or be able to help us determine what equipment is needed.

Potential Ongoing Work

This initial project could develop into an ongoing relationship.

We are developing a larger YouTube presence focused on sustainable investing, ESG-related topics, financial planning, renewable energy, and interviews with professionals and other guests.

We anticipate producing approximately two YouTube videos per month, with the possibility of eventually increasing to one per week.

These videos would require professional post-production, including:

  • Intro and outro graphics
  • Titles and on-screen graphics
  • B-roll and supporting visuals
  • Editing of interviews and talking-head footage
  • Audio enhancement
  • General production polish suitable for YouTube and social media

We also have an existing library of approximately 15–20 YouTube videos that were produced internally. Depending on cost and feasibility, there may be an additional project to re-edit, recreate, or otherwise upgrade these videos to a more professional standard.

Who We're Looking For

We'd love to work with a Northwestern student who:

  • Has strong videography and video-editing skills
  • Understands lighting, audio, and professional interview/talking-head production
  • Has experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable software
  • Has a strong visual sense and can make professional recommendations
  • Is dependable and interested in potentially building an ongoing working relationship

Experience producing financial content is not required. We will provide the subject-matter expertise and direction.

Compensation

Paid opportunity. We are open to discussing either a project-based fee or hourly rate based on experience, equipment, and scope.

When responding, please include:

  • A brief introduction
  • Examples/reel of previous video work
  • Your production and editing experience
  • Equipment you have access to, if applicable
  • Your approximate rate or pricing structure
  • Your availability

We see this as more than a single video project and would particularly like to hear from someone interested in becoming our ongoing video production/editorial partner.
