Marketing & Community Intern

Fibe is where the tech ecosystem meets in person. We run the events, dinners, and communities that founders, investors, and operators actually want to be at - from intimate founder dinners to Outlier Summit, our flagship event with AngelList that brings ~4,000 people together over two days. We're small, fast, and every event we run is a chance to make something people remember.

Here’s the deal:

We’re not your typical events company. Fibe sits at the center of NYC’s startup scene and hosts 100+ events a year for founders, investors, and operators. We blend hospitality, storytelling, and brand strategy to build real connections in a digital world. If you love creating moments people talk about, this role’s for you.

We’ve worked with brands like American Express, J.P. Morgan, and Rippling, and hosted founders from companies like Venmo, Lyft, and Foursquare. Now, we’re looking for a creative, resourceful operator who can scale our events and grow our audience.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role – you will be in the room with the most influential people in New York tech.

What you'll do:

Events

  • Help plan and run events end-to-end — logistics, guest lists, run-of-show, vendor coordination, on-site execution
  • Own pieces of Outlier Summit (Nov 5–6) and monthly programming like Shortlist and founder dinners
  • Be the person in the room making sure things actually happen on time and look good doing it

Community

  • Help grow and moderate our community spaces (including our Pie-based home for Shortlist and Summit attendees)
  • Seed conversation, welcome new members, keep the energy alive between events
  • Track what's working — engagement, RSVPs, repeat attendance — and tell us what to double down on

Marketing

  • Write and ship content: event recaps, community prompts, social posts, newsletter blurbs (to a 60k+ list)
  • Help turn what happens at our events into content that makes the next one bigger
  • Support sponsor and partner asks — decks, one-pagers, follow-ups

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong interpersonal skills—confident, friendly, and professional with executives and peers alike
  • You've organized something — a club event, a dorm party, a pop-up, a Discord that actually had people in it. We care less about titles, more about proof you can make things happen.
  • You're based in or around NYC and can be on-site for events (some nights required — this is an events job)
  • Reliable and detail-oriented, comfortable taking initiative without constant supervision
  • Highly organized with strong operational and time management skills
  • Excited by events, people, and the energy of live gatherings
  • Curious, ambitious, and motivated to learn from leaders in business and tech
  • Bonus: you're already plugged into the NYC startup/tech scene, or you clearly want to be

What’s in it for you:

  • Work directly with top founders and investors in the tech ecosystem
  • Real ownership and creative freedom to shape how we grow
  • A front-row seat to the future of tech, community, and media
  • Work closely with and receive mentorship and career support from Andrew Yeung

Logistics:

  • Internship, based in NYC, in-person
  • Start date flexible; we move fast and can bring someone on quickly for the right fit
  • 5-10 hours/week
