Position Overview

We're hiring Special Education Virtual Tutors to work with students who have learning differences, developmental disabilities, or other special needs. You'll deliver engaging, individualized instruction over video, adapting your approach to each student's strengths, challenges, and goals. This role is ideal for aspiring educators, ABA/RBT professionals, special education majors, and anyone passionate about helping students with exceptional needs thrive.

What You'll Do

• Lead one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions tailored to students with diverse learning needs
• Adapt lessons, pacing, and materials to each student's individual learning profile and IEP goals where applicable
• Use positive reinforcement, structure, and patience to keep students engaged and motivated
• Break down concepts into manageable steps and celebrate progress along the way
• Track student growth and communicate updates with families and the team as needed
• Create a supportive, encouraging, and accessible learning environment

What We're Looking For

• Experience supporting students with learning differences or special needs — through ABA, RBT, tutoring, mentoring, paraprofessional/classroom aide work, or a similar setting (coursework or informal experience also welcome)
• Strong knowledge in one or more subject areas (e.g., reading, writing, math, or foundational skills)
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt to a range of learning styles and behaviors
• Reliable internet connection, a quiet workspace, and comfort with video tools
• Coursework or background in special education, psychology, child development, or a related field is a plus
