Job description:

Veterinary Technician/Assistant
Clarksville, Tennessee

Are you looking for more than just a job? Do you want to be part of a workplace where your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and you’re surrounded by a team that truly enjoys working together?

At Clarksville Animal Clinic, we area a small, privately owned veterinary practice where compassion, connection, and teamwork guide everything we do. We're a one-doctor clinic with big goals, and as we grow, we’re looking for someone equally passionate.

We're located in Clarksville, TN, just a short drive from Nashville and close to incredible outdoor spots like Land Between the Lakes and Montgomery Bell State Park. Whether you love city adventures or peaceful hikes, there’s something here for you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • Flexible scheduling – 4 days per week and an occasional weekend kennel shift.
  • Competitive pay – $16-20/hour, based on experience.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance – Because your well-being matters.
  • Retirement IRA plan
  • Generous paid time off – Including holidays, birthdays, and even wedding anniversaries.
  • Bonuses – Monthly performance bonuses and annual work anniversary bonuses.
  • Employee discounts – Take great care of your own pets, too.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll be a key part of our team, helping to create a smooth, positive experience for both our clients and our staff. Your role will be a blend of working with pets and clients for annual and sick visits, monitoring anesthesia for surgeries, and general care and monitoring of hospitalized patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing patients for wellness and sick visits.
  • Setting up and reading minor tests
  • Collaborating with other team members to make the day flow smoothly
  • Monitoring patients during anesthesia and keeping up with monitored parameters
  • Monitoring and treating hospitalized patients and making sure treatments are performed on time

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong communicator with excellent organizational skills
  • Someone who thrives in a collaborative, people-first environment
  • Experience in the veterinary field is a bonus

Ready to Join Us?

If you're looking for a place where your voice matters and your work makes a difference — not just in the lives of pets, but in the culture of a growing business — we’d love to talk to you.
