Public Relations Intern

CT & Co. is a publicity and public relations agency located in El Segundo, California. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Public Relations and Publicity Intern who is interested in gaining meaningful, hands-on experience in the publicity and entertainment industries.

This is a paid, part-time internship offering approximately 20–30 hours per week. The right candidate may have an opportunity to eventually transition into a full-time Publicity Assistant position.

Responsibilities

• Research media outlets, journalists, influencers, podcasts, and industry contacts

• Build, maintain, and update media lists and contact databases

• Monitor media coverage and prepare press clips and coverage reports

• Assist with drafting pitches, press materials, client updates, and internal documents

• Support publicity campaigns, media outreach, events, interviews, premieres, and press activities

• Conduct research related to clients, entertainment projects, media trends, and publicity opportunities

• Help maintain project calendars, status reports, and campaign materials

• Provide general administrative and organizational support to the publicity team

• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to client campaigns

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, advertising, media, entertainment, or a related field

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent research, organization, and attention-to-detail skills

• Able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Professional, dependable, proactive, and willing to learn

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online research tools

• An interest in publicity, entertainment, media, pop culture, and current industry trends

Compensation and Schedule

This is a paid, part-time internship paying $21 per hour. The anticipated schedule is approximately 20–30 hours per week. Specific days and hours will be discussed during the interview process.
