PART-TIME FINANCIAL LITERACY INSTRUCTOR

Location: 39706 Mission Boulevard, Fremont, CA 94539
Start Date: August 26, 2026
Pay Rate: $25–$35/hour, based on experience
Position: Part-Time | In-Person

💰 Help Students Build Skills for Life

Financial literacy is one of the most valuable skills students can develop—and one that can make a real difference long after they leave the classroom.

We're looking for an enthusiastic Financial Literacy Instructor to help students understand the fundamentals of money, personal finance, and smart financial decision-making through engaging, practical, and age-appropriate lessons.

Rather than simply teaching financial concepts from a textbook, you'll help students connect what they learn to real-world situations—from budgeting and saving to understanding spending decisions, financial goals, and responsible money management.

This is an opportunity to make an abstract subject feel practical, relevant, and empowering.

Whether you're a finance professional, business student, educator, entrepreneur, financial educator, or simply passionate about helping young people develop practical life skills, we'd love to hear from you.

Curriculum guidance and instructional support are provided, so you can focus on engaging students and making financial concepts easy to understand.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Lead engaging and interactive Financial Literacy classes
  • Introduce students to fundamental personal finance concepts
  • Help students understand budgeting, saving, spending, and financial planning
  • Use real-world examples, activities, discussions, and scenarios to make financial concepts relatable
  • Guide students through practical exercises and financial decision-making activities
  • Encourage students to think critically about financial choices and their potential consequences
  • Help students develop responsible money-management habits
  • Break down financial concepts into clear, approachable explanations
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and discussion-friendly classroom environment
  • Encourage students to ask questions, share ideas, and participate actively
  • Adapt instruction to different learning styles and levels of understanding
  • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement
  • Monitor student participation and progress
  • Maintain an organized and productive classroom environment
  • Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
  • Arrive prepared, dependable, and ready to make financial education engaging

🌟 What We're Looking For

You don't need to be a career teacher. We're looking for someone who understands financial concepts and can make them practical, approachable, and interesting for students.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Strong knowledge of personal finance and financial literacy concepts
  • Genuine interest in financial education, business, economics, or entrepreneurship
  • Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to beginners
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Patience and enthusiasm when working with students
  • Ability to lead discussions and keep students engaged
  • A practical, problem-solving mindset
  • Reliable, organized, and professional work habits
  • Ability to follow structured curriculum while bringing real-world examples into the classroom

Prior experience in financial education, banking, finance, accounting, business, entrepreneurship, teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or youth programs is a plus—but not required.
