Accounting Intern
Qualifications
We're seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented student pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance who possesses:
- Strong computer and internet navigation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions, filters, and tables.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and proactively seek additional work when available.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete assignments accurately and on time.
- A desire to learn about accounting operations and the retail industry.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including providing regular updates on tasks, projects, and availability.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with members of the Accounting team.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with banking and cash management activities.
- Prepare and post general ledger entries.
- Research account activity and perform account analysis.
- Code and allocate expenses.
- Review stock ledger and inventory records.
- Utilize the company's ERP system to retrieve, analyze, and report financial information.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Support the Accounting team with special projects and other ad hoc assignments.
Internship Details
- Part-time position during the academic year.
- Optional overtime may be available during peak business periods.
- Paid internship.
- Open to junior- or senior-level students pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Internship may qualify for college credit, subject to your school's approval.
