You will help ensure that products, production processes, equipment, and documentation meet established quality, food-safety, and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do
Perform detailed quality audits during production and packaging.
Check products and processes to make sure they meet established quality standards.
Verify quality-control equipment such as:
Metal detectors
X-ray equipment
Scales
Other production/quality equipment
Review production paperwork and records for accuracy and compliance.
Identify, document, and report quality issues and deviations.
Help ensure corrective actions are taken to address non-compliance.
Monitor housekeeping and report issues that could affect product quality or safety.
Enter and track quality results using computer systems.
Work with Production, Packaging, Supervisors, Managers, and other team members to resolve daily quality issues.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test methods, GMP, and quality-system requirements.
Support compliance with FDA and cGMP standards.
Support food-safety programs including HACCP, SQF, and Food Quality Plans.
Help ensure products meet requirements for identity, purity, strength, and quality.
Participate in required training and Quality Assurance projects.
Provide backup support for other QA responsibilities as needed.

Educational Qualifications
High School Diploma required.

Important Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
Spanish language skills are a plus and can be valuable when communicating with production teams.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to confidently communicate quality concerns and raise issues when necessary.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with employees at different levels, from production teams to management.
Ability to read and follow SOPs, test methods, and technical documents.
Comfortable using computers to enter and track data.
Knowledge of GMP and Quality Systems is preferred.
Ability to participate in required training and learn company-specific quality procedures.
Schedule & Work Environment
Monday–Friday | 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
This is an on-site position in Manassas, VA. Candidates should be comfortable working a consistent overnight/third-shift schedule.
