Laboratory Technician

JOB TITLE:                  Laboratory Technician- Great Falls

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following. 

Perform Testing and Inspection

1. Test malt, barley, and other process samples in an accurate and procedurally compliant manner.
2. Perform sampling and sub-sampling operations for internal, customer, or 3rd party use. 
3. Perform testing, gather data, and provide observations in support of continuous improvement or laboratory expansion activities.
4. Ensure data produced meets quality guidelines and promptly report deficiencies.
5. Accurately document and report testing measurement/ outcomes as required by operations, regulatory, and certifying organizations in a timely manner.

Maintain Laboratory

1. Maintain laboratory equipment & environment which includes calibration, preventative maintenance, and cleaning.
2. Ensure daily operation activities, documentation, and testing are complete.
3. Verify and report lack of operational materials or damaged equipment.

Create a safe professional work environment

1. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with internal departments, customers, growers, drivers, and vendors. 
2. Maintain a safe working environment by following safety guidelines/ policies and act in a safety compliant manner.
3. Report abnormal, unsafe, or operationally risky conditions in prompt and professional manner.

Qualification Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to interpret testing results and follow SOP document for appropriate action.
• Ability to operate a variety of lab equipment and instruments and a variety of office equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and multi-tasking skills. Has an ability to recognize variances in forms and verbiage
