Hours: 40 hours/week
Location: Ruston, West Monroe, and across the NELA Region
Pay: $15/hour

Position Summary:

We’re looking for a relationship-driven Volunteer Recruiter to help grow and support our volunteer network. This role focuses on connecting with the community, building partnerships, and recruiting volunteers to support programs, events, and services. You’ll also work closely with AmeriCorps Program to align efforts and strengthen overall impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and engage volunteers through outreach and community partnerships.
  • Build relationships with local organizations, schools, and businesses.
  • Provide orientation, training, and ongoing support for volunteers.
  • Track volunteer engagement and maintain accurate records.
  • Work alongside the AmeriCorps Program to support program success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to connect with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Experience in recruiting, volunteer management, or community engagement. 
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with AmeriCorps programs and their operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Passion for serving the community and advancing the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs.

Special Notes:

  • Flexible schedule with occasional evenings/weekends required.
  • Local travel required (a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required).
