Strategic Growth Intern/Fellow

TITLE:  Growth & Operations Intern/Fellow (Energy Infrastructure)

COMPENSATION: $200 / Month Tech & Travel Stipend + Academic Credit Eligible
HOURS: Project-Based & Highly Flexible (Work at your own pace to complete weekly research and outreach milestones)

LOCATION: NYC / Westchester County, NY / Remote

THE CHALLENGE:

The US power grid is facing a historic supply chain crisis. Lead times for new industrial transformers have surged to 3–5 years, forcing 30–50% of new AI data centers to delay their openings.  GridKeep Power Services is a specialized lifecycle management firm solving this exact bottleneck across NY, NJ, and CT.

This is not a passive internship. This is a highly selective, ground-floor Strategic Fellowship for one or two individuals who want to learn exactly how a real asset infrastructure business is built from scratch.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

You will work directly alongside the Founder—a seasoned engineer, private equity investor, and entrepreneur with 20+ years of industry experience.  This role is engineered to give you a masterclass in B2B growth operations, executive sourcing, and industrial market intelligence.

WHAT YOU WILL MASTER

  • Technical Sourcing Operations: Learn how to map, track, and build specialized talent pipelines by analyzing top engineering networks (NETA, PSEG, ConEdison alumni).
  • Corporate Development Research: Mine regional business registries to identify independent electrical firms matching a specific profile for potential acquisition
  • B2B Pipeline Modeling: Research and map critical facility managers at data centers, pharmaceutical plants, and hospitals to target high-value lifecycle maintenance accounts

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • High Personal Agency: You are a self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what to do. You are self motivated and driven.
  • Academic Background: Current student or recent grad in Electrical Engineering, Sustainable Energy, Finance, Economics, or Business/Operations
  • Elite Communication: Flawless written and oral communication skills. Confident and outgoing on the phone.
  • Mission-Driven: A genuine interest in energy networks, infrastructure finance, or venture creation.
  • Note: Must have valid US work authorization.

FELLOWSHIP PERKS:

  • $200/Month Stipend: Provided to directly offset your workspace, internet, or commuting expenses.
  • Unrivaled Mentorship: 1-on-1 operational coaching directly from a PE-licensed founder.
  • Fast-Track Career Growth: First-priority consideration for a highly compensated, full-time operational role once seed funding expands.
  • Executive Endorsement: A highly specific, metric-backed letter of recommendation and personal LinkedIn endorsement from the founder.

HOW TO APPLY:

Skip the generic cover letter. Email your CV or LinkedIn profile link directly to (amumtaz@ipxenterprises.com).    In the body of the email, include exactly 2–3 sentences on why the current US transformer shortage represents a massive commercial arbitrage opportunity.
